After a satisfying experience in the Department of Mysteries, the threat of evil in the world finally seemed to be over, or, at least, that was how it appeared to be. After working alongside Sirius, the Order, and some of his friends, Harry Potter was finally able to destroy the Dark Lord once and for all, using the weakness of the Dark Lord’s powers to his advantage. Little did Harry know, however, that the problems were far from over.
Now, as Harry, Ron, Hermione and Ginny, along with all the other students and faculty of Hogwarts prepare for yet another year of magical learning, evil is brewing, stronger than ever. Fenrir Greyback, now the leader of the Death Eaters, has gathered his forces, and together they are beginning to wreak havoc on both the Muggle and Wizarding worlds, continuing what the Dark Lord started with the intention of finishing it and avenging their fallen master. But, even after the destruction of the Millennium Bridge, and the kidnapping of Mr. Ollivander, the Ministry refuses to believe that there is anything to fear, blinded by the fact that the Dark Lord no longer exists. On top of that, Draco Malfoy has now been recruited to personally carry out one of the Dark Lord’s main plans, triggering suspicions in Harry after seeing Malfoy going through what appears to be an orientation at Borgin & Burke’s.
Upon arriving at Hogwarts, the students are faced with a very unexpected change: Severus Snape is now Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, replaced as Potions teacher by Horace Slughorn, an former professor persuaded out of retirement after a visit from Harry and Dumbledore during the summer. As the school year progresses, news travels of more attacks on both worlds, causing the Ministry to finally admit to the possibility of the Death Eaters attempting to finish what Voldemort started. Now, the wizarding world is slowly finding itself face-to-face with evil once more, and Harry is finding his sixth year at Hogwarts one of the most intense years of his life, partially because of the Death Eaters, and partially because of some new found feelings he’s beginning to discover for Ginny.
With increased security at Hogwarts, and the Ministry doing everything they can to stop the Death Eaters once and for all, one question on everyone’s mind is whether or not they will ever truly be safe again. Which side will you be on?
