PERSONALITY: Mira is always smiling, a calm persona, one can easily find her relaxing in a quiet, isolated corner of the school reading a book. HISTORY: Born in Italy, Mira lived with her parents and younger brother throughout her young life in a small manor on the canals of an old city. The Noths were a noble pure-blooded family. In their ancestors ran an ability that continued through them, the last pure family of a diminished line of Noths. This ability allowed them to converse with multitudes of magical creatures, so they therefore felt it their duty to help advocate the rights of magical creatures within the Wizarding world. This gained some respect from the creatures, though over time this connection diminished as the family line shrank.
Her parents, great people in their deeds, were heard of by the Death Eaters who sought their help in convincing the magical creatures to aid the dark side, for freedom lay under the Dark Lord’s rule. Wiser to recognize their rotten convictions, Mira’s parents refused, and were killed for their defiance. In the disorder Mira somehow managed to slip away. Separated from her brother, she ended up on the streets where she learnt to steal for her survival.
Years later, Mira set to pilfer from a couple visiting Italy. Being wizards, they caught her in the act but, after a magical accident, they realized the little child was a witch. Taking pity on Mira, whose memory of her family lay lost and forgotten, they took her under their wings, and so she became Mira Karter. They returned to the UK where they taught her about the magical world, and where Mira turned eleven and was accepted into Hogwarts.
Mira was sorted into Slytherin and excelled in Transfiguration and Care of Magical Creatures. While looking for her original identity, Mira rediscovered her real family, and remembering the death of her parents, she became withdrawn from constant nightmares about that night. Searching for the murderers, it was found that Death Eaters killed her parents, and the discovery that her friend’s mother was the one of them fed a dark hole that lashed out within her. She decided to be an animagi, secretly practicing in the Forbidden Forest, she appears as a fox.
Mira kept light contact with the Karters, but stays with her brother in Italy during the holidays, whom does not know of her secret affiliation. She continues on as a Death Eater, yet holds a secret, hollow grudge, scarred into her heart, for the death of her parents. Yet, as fools hope and the ignorant beguile, she holds faith with them yet.
