Human Folly
Born in a small but prestigious pureblood family, Ebron was dubbed Leonard as the first son of Leonardo, his father. He grew up with all the pompous air only a pureblood family could get, along with his fellow cousin, Jason, who visited more often then not. They became good friends and often stole outside, playing in the nearby lake or looking for dragons in the forest surrounding the Ruh manor. As they grew older, the twins were born and were dotted upon with coos and silly giggles and the two friends spent more time together away from the family and the attention seeking babies. Now more mature and clean, exploring the library and stealing the occasional servant wands to practise secret spells instead.
One day Leo’s father sent his house elf during one of their secret practices to call for Leo. Apparently their secret wasn’t such a secret, and his father was proud to see their curiosity flourish and that Leo was to become a great heir to one day follow in his father’s footstep. From that day forth Jason and Leo were separated, as Leo was forced under all sorts of too tight ball gowns to be dotted under the heavy scrutiny of family relatives and other well connected purebloods. A protégé to protect the subtle truce between them and He Who Mustn’t Be Named as his father does to stay on the Dark Lords good grace without sacrificing any of their own herd to his army. Leo was excited to learn deeper, darker magic, about the world’s people and history and hidden creatures, about the dragons he and Jason sought. But his childish innocence and curiosity didn’t last long, and he soon missed Jason and their carefree life and, eventually, altogether gave up.
His teachers would peer down mystified at his sudden idiocy, and his father’s disappointment echoed throughout the manor as ball guests muttered veiled disappointment at the fall of the Ruh bloodline. Leo spent less and less time with the higher expectations and, after the inability of seeing Jason again, took to himself in taking care of his siblings, the twins, showing them the wonders of the gardens he found when he was younger and keeping them away from the world he had abandoned as best as he could. They grew up well with him, silent and wide eyed, mystified by their silent brethren who showed them the magical reality outside their stiff aired world. Multiple times Leo would pick up his younger sister, or watch his little brother play with his toys, and dream of running away with them. Then it changed, at the year of his eleventh birthday his father gave him a free ticket out, his letter to Hogwarts. Blinded by his father’s strange generosity and the freedom of being away from the family he grew to hate, he accepted and was quickly set forth to a new world of education where his family’s hand could not reach.
Do not blame him for abandoning his siblings, he is young and innocent, he is hurt and betrayed, stuck in a frivolous world of protégés and heirs. Instead look at his benign tears of joy, how he breaths the dirty, liberated air of London’s cobbled roads, and see simply a happy little boy, even if he is all alone.

Info
- Dislikes being called Leonard or Leo, named after his father, and prefers to go by Ebron.
- He's a smart ass, he speaks his mind to students and adults alike to a fault and gets in trouble for it. It's nothing to do with him being bad, he just likes deflating puffed up egos.
- Especially dislikes Gryffindors and Ravenclaws.
- Likes philosophy. Even though he's pretentious, he's down to earth and likes to have his quite time alone mulling over a Butterbeer or Firewhiskey.
- If you ask about his family he'll disassociate himself with them, and shrug them of as simply relatives and nothing more. In reality, deep down, he has mixed feelings of missing them and hating them at the same time.
- Tends to alienate himself.
- Unless he finds some interest in a class, he finds no motivation to pay attention. He works hard when he wants to.
- Prefers wand waving over the delicate lore of potion making.
- Is scared of heights ever since his first try with flying.
