Stephen Charles, half-blood but mostly with the worldview befitting a pureblood. He reckons muggle-borns and blood-traitors are rightfully outsiders, at least on the surface he demonstrates to his grandparents. This internal conflict is causing continuous friction with them. He is perhaps a bit flamboyant, preferring the suit rather than the casuals. Habitually drinks coffee and irks that there is only tea in the manor, therefore he is often irritated from the lack of coffee. Thinks that just because he went to Durmstrang doesn’t mean he is well-versed in the Dark Arts and will dislike the person who does so. Snob because of his high birth and dislikes people calling him “le Grande Bâtard”.
Born on the sixth of September to an ancient pure-blooded Hungarian noble family, Karo is naturally ingrained with the beliefs and views of his parents and grandparents. This means that the young boy came to accept some of the bigot arguments of his parents, like the fact that marrying out of either social or blood status was strictly forbidden and will immediately lead to a disowning.
Elizabeth Szinnyei met his father, the then Gideon Baron Nesterjean in Budapest during a Halloween party hosted by their respective families. They both fell in love a bit too quickly and Gideon proposed a few days afterwards, which was a bit haphazardly accepted and they both were married some months later…
Now, something Gideon didn’t knew but his father and the House-genealogist both knew was that Ms Szinnyei wasn’t a pure-blood or of very high birth. This caused a massive burst of anger from Joseph with the expected result of Gideon being stripped of his titles and disowned, directly causing his already weak heart to have a fatal heart attack.
Ms Szinnyei was by the disownment of Gideon already mothering Karo, but went crazy soon afterwards from Gideon’s absence. Karo was taken over by his grandparents and he lived with them until present. Attended Durmstrang Institute from age 11-14 and started off generally unremarkable in either school or reputation. He became known as “the Grand Bastard” because of his illegitimate blood and highly snobbish attitude in the Eastern Europe school. His grandparents decided in the summer leading to his fifth year to have him transferred as he was becoming a bit too eager to agitate the other students, and thus a “little” too loud. Now he is moved to Hogwarts for a fresh start, far away from the known lands and his friends. Currently resides with the Lord of Alnwick. Has some severe issues with his grandparents and their worldview because of their direct involvement in his parents deaths, feels guilty about it at the same time.
