It was a very beautiful december morning the day a little girl was born into an all American family who lived in a breath taking mansion. The proud young couple, Astasia and Richard could not wait to show everyone their new born child. They had both decided to name their little girl, Ephera Florence Davidson. Soon after her birth she was already surrounded by relatives from all over, neighbours who admired her, and old friends from town. Jordan was born with golden brown eyes just like her father and had blonde hair just like her own mother. After a few weeks of Ephera's birth, her father set off to work again. He worked as an business man who ran two companies both in New York and in Nashville, where the family lived. Astasia had put her work aside and spent every minute by her daughter's side, she adored and loved her so much. She had always wanted a little girl of her own and had promised herself she was going to give her daughter the best childhood in the world. She was a young witch who had graduated from the magical school also known as Beaxbaton. She had been one of their top students and had left the school with remarkable grades. The headmasters had offered her the position of becoming a head when she finished her studying at the school but she had said no, politely as she wanted to travel back home to America and settle down. Richard however, was a wizard who had completed the courses needed to become a dragon keeper. He had graduated from Durmstrang and was also heading towards America, but had no idea that he would meet his soulmate and the love of his life there. Astasia and Richard met when they were both visiting a national museum and watching some galleries. They both found out they were both of the same kind and soon fell in love. Two years later, Richard brought Astasia to Venice in Italy and proposed to her and she said yes and they got married under the stars and moonlight in Italy. Because the family was wealthy, they bought a mansion at the outskirts of town and lived happily there. Jordan doesn't have any other siblings so it was a quiet childhood for her, although she received all the attention she needed from her mother and father.
When Ephera was seven years old she started to show her magical abilities and both her parents were super proud. Not only magical abilities was she good at but also dancing. She was a naturally talented child, her teachers at school always said. Everyone was surprised why this girl was so brilliant at everything. At the age of eight she wrote a book while she was playing alone in the garden and her mother thought that her daughter would make a excellent writer one day. But that wasn't Ephera's dream; she wanted to become so many things, she didn't want to settle for one job only. She believed if you were good at many things, you should do all of it and make the most of your life and fulfil your dreams. On her ninth birthday she got hundred of presents waiting for her when she woke up as always, but there was only one present that caught her eye. A digital muggle camera. She loved it so much and took pictures with it all the time. She begged her mother to take her to the forest near their home and there she would take beautiful pictures of the nature and so she did. The pictures turned out very amazing. Ephera was a girl who was loved by everyone in her town and was friends with everybody at her school. Because of her bubbly and charming personality, even adults and older people admired her. She spent most of her time at home, painting, dancing, singing and sometimes writing short stories that she wanted to read out aloud for the other children at school. Astasia and Richard couldn't be more blessed and proud of the child they had. She was their precious diamond as they always called her. They believed in the future, she would make a great witch, and also such a succesful human being.
One day on a silent summer evening, Ephera had just finished celebrating her 11th birthday with her family and friends and was relaxing outside in her favourite spot of the whole house - the garden. She sat on a rocking chair and was looking through her school album, completely ignoring the whole world. She was distracted when she looked up in the sky and saw a dark figure flying towards her. She put the album down and stood up from the chair and that's when she realised what it was. It was a snow white owl and it had landed gracefully on the grass in front of her. She had never seen owls, only in pictures and on television but not a real one in front of her. She was really amazed and wanted to touch it but the envelope attached to it's left foot caught her attention. She slowly crawled over to it but it wasn't scared of her. She took the envelope and read the address. It was to her. She looked back at the mansion and wondered if she should let her mother read it first, but she was too curious and excited since she had never received a letter delivered like this. She ripped it open and the owl was still there, looking at her. It was from Hogwarts, a magical school for witchcraft and wizardry. She read it over and over and jumped up and down of happiness. She couldn't believe she finally got her letter, but unfortunately it wasn't the same schools as her parents. She didn't care, she still wanted to go so badly. "Mum!" She shouted and ran towards the door, forgetting about the white owl. Her mother was in the middle of talking on the phone and put it down when she saw the letter too. "Honey, this is great news. I am so proud and happy right now." Astasia exclaimed. After that, the journey began for Ephera.
After the seperation with her parents, Ephera gathered her suitcases and belongings and entered the train. It was already filled with the students and she was the last one. All eyes were on her as soon as she stepped in. At first it was uncomfortable but then everyone smiled and a few offered her a place to sit. There was an empty compartment and Jordan went inside it but there was already a boy in there. He had light blonde hair and sparkling blue eyes. She stood at the door, unsure if she should go in and sit down. "You can sit with me if you like," he then said in a very friendly tone. That was when Ephera smiled for the first time ever since she left her parents. The boy stood up and carried her suitcase for her and put it aside. "I'm Adrian." He held his hand out and Ephera slowly shook his hand. "Eh, I'm Ephera but you can call me Eph." She said quietly and they both sat down and started talking immediately about their lives and what they used to do before they got their letter. She learned almost everything about him before they got out of the train. Adrian had already become her friend and she wasn't so quiet and shy anymore. When the train came to a stop they both made their way out of the train, laughing and smiling, talking about everything between heaven and earth. There was water dividing them from the castle so they had to take boats and luckily Jordan got into the same boat as Adrian. She could see the castle from here and it looked so magical and interesting. The boats sailed slowly and calmly towards the castle and soon they reached it. Everyone started to walk towards the castle but Jordan stopped. She turned around and looked towards the boats and the train, then she reached into her pocket and found a charm bracelet. It was made out of real gold and it had her initials craved on it. A small smile curved at the edges of her lips, it was from her mother.
