Walking the alley ways of Knockturn, Bellatrix was looking for someone. Her eyes scanned left to right, hoping to find the man that she had asked to come out be here on time. A new order was lifted by Voldemort and in the one person that needed to know was none other than Severus Snape. Now that Voldemort had desperately wanted Harry Potter dead with his own hands, Severus was their only hope to make sure that happened. He was the closest to the young wizard than anyone else. It only seemed logical.
Leaning against the wall, she waited for Seveus to appear and for her to spread the word.

The order almost was laughable... To think that he, Severus Snape, was taking orders from the slithering viper herself... It was enough to make him gag, or perhaps even muster up enough feelings of disgust to purge from his stomach whatever he happened to have eaten previously and perhaps even bile... That's how revolting this seemed to him. He, of course, could not go right away. Staff meeting; and if there was one thing that Voldemort impressed upon him, it was that nothing was more important than keeping up the appearance of a dutiful and loyal professor and Order member. The woman could wait. It's not like it would kill her... unfortunately.
She was easy to spot in a crowd... Which wasn't the case, as it happened to be. Not so many people were filling the cobbled streets of Knockturn Alley. Now, this was just ridiculous. Approaching her, his gaze dark behind his half-hooded eyes, he said with his distinctive, drawling voice, "Is it wise for you to be so blatantly obvious in relation to your whereabouts, or have you forgotten that Aurors patrol in greater numbers than ever before. Not to burst you're bubble, Lestrange, but you aren't exactly on their list of people to send a gift basket to during the holidays."

Bellatrix spotted Severus coming up to her. She knew that he wasn't happy to spot her. She knew well that Severus wasn't a fan of her. But did she care? No. She was proud to be who she was: beautiful and wanted. Literally wanted. She looked at him and listened to his words when he approached. It was the usual of what he says, so it didn't impress or surprise her one bit.
"Which is why this is going to be quick and simple," she said, a smile appearing and quickly leaving her face. She looked at him, waiting to see if he was fully paying attention. "I've got orders from the Dark Lord," she started, and looked around to make sure that no one was around to listen or catch them. "As you already know of our usual plans, he wants you to watch the boy carefully. And possibly when you get the chance, lure him. Surely you don't have his trust, but do something."
She looked down at him with her usual stare and her eye brows propped up. "Unless something like that is too hard for you?" she asked, smirking.

He did not take the bait.
"You tell me nothing I did not already know," he said drolly. "If you summoned me hear to discuss already processed information, than not only have you wasted my time, you did so at great risk to yourself. Not that I would relish the thought of you sitting behind bars again." He rose a brow, but waved her off. "Perhaps your memory has evaded you, but if you recall, I believe of all the Dark Lord's followers, I have been the only one not to disappoint him when it comes to fulfilling his wishes.
"That said, you are in fact aware of how your impatience and eagerness to please him have only made this task increasingly difficult? The murder of Gabrielle and the disappearance of James Potter have made it all but impossible to find a moment where the boy is not closely guarded. You know better than most how very... bothersome your cousin can be. Sirius keeps an ever vigilant watch over him, and with him as Deputy Headmaster, there is no simple solution. So, Bellatrix, it is not a question of whether getting my hands on Harry is hard... It is a question of deceiving Sirius Black. While I'm inclined to speak of his idiocy... Your cousin is no fool and has proven to be dangerous if pressed under the best of circumstances. I would not be so foolish as to risk my cover just because you see fit to taunt me."

Bellatrix ignored what he called witty comebacks. She wasn't in the mood for it, but it seems that once again, he thought he had outsmart her. Bellatrix had more than just killing Gabrielle and stealing James Potter. She smiled at him, knowing that she had something that he didn't know. It always made her feel like the better one- which she felt she was. Granted, she made a mistake before, but this time she won't.
"Oh Severus," she said, in a teasing tone filled with excitement. She grinned and walked up to him, gracefully walking behind him and placed her lips by his ears only to leave an eerie laugh behind and she walked back around him, her hand still on his shoulder. "I don't think you understand. It's going to be quick and easy. And deceiving Sirius Black? Now that's the easy part," she said, and gave herself a cackle of happiness. She looked at Severus and smirked. "Just do what you are assigned to do, and I will do my part," she added, not wanting to tell him just yet what she had behind her sleeves.

He watched her suspiciously as she walked around him, wondering what she was doing. When he felt her breath on his ear, he wrenched forward, pulling away from her and shooting a glare at her that clearly told her never to do something like that again. "If I am slow to understand anything, Lestrange, it is because of your ill defined powers of speech. Some might call them vague, but I'm leaning more towards infantile." He straightened himself out, putting more distance between himself and her. He gave her his usual frown when she made it sound so simple. "I had rather thought the past would have left a better impression on you. Or at least it should have taught you what happens when you underestimate your opponent.
"You know my feelings on your cousin. As much as I would like to say he is dimwitted, to harbor that delusion is folly. Perhaps once one might have been able to claim that his impulsive behavior negated his talent and cunning, but it would seem that he, unlike you, has learned something from his death. Nothing is simple when it comes to Sirius Black. He is dangerous... More so than he ever was. People are beginning to revere him, to hold him up as the next Albus Dumbledore. Do not think that deceiving him will be so easy." His feelings towards Sirius were well known to any who knew their history... But the truth was, Severus could at least admit that his rival and enemy was not one to be toyed with unless one cared to be toyed with right back.
"I am doing what I was assigned to do. Your part remains to be seen, however."

She loved the culture shock that people would move away when someone was close to them awkwardly. She loved to do that to others- it would either make them feel irritated or have a feeling of intimidation. She sensed more irritation in Severus than ever before, and that's what she wanted. The more irritated someone was, the more they spoke. Of course, he spoke so much good about Sirius Black. It only made what the Dark Lord say is true. Bellatrix smirked and moved back when he did and looked at him.
"And what is that? You haven't even dented a bit of what you're supposed to do," she said, looking down at him. She was never a fan of him since day one. There was always something about him. No wonder he was never liked growing up, she could tell why. Poor thing..., she laughed at her thought. Sympathy wasn't her thing.
"Well if you want to know what is going to be planned that will work to deceive the Sirius Black, come to the meeting tonight. All truths will be revealed," she said, smiling at him. Little did he know that he was going to have a little surprise.

He scowled at her. "What is that is none of your concern. Last I checked, Lestrange, you were a mere lieutenant in the scheme of things. Outranked by even little ol' me. It is one thing to criticize my ethic, but when you have no room to do so yourself, it just becomes laughable and hypocritical. It begs the question... What exactly did you dent all those years in Azkaban? Nothing? Oh, that's right. You were an utter failure then, just as you are now. And you will continue to be as it seems little has changed.
"That said, my task was to get back into Hogwarts, establish myself as a trusted associate even if I was not well liked. I have done that, and the Dark Lord has told me himself that he is pleased. For that reason, I care little for what you say as it has no bearing, relevance, or is no indication of our Lord's feelings on the matter. Ultimately, your word means nothing."
He hated here more each time she spoke, but her last comment took him by surprise. He was unaware of any meeting. It had to have been called last minute. "I have a mission to tend to, but shall be there, as always." He didn't like how she emphasized all... He had a sneaking suspicion as to what she might mean by that. "I'd be careful with the truth, Lestrange. You've never had use for it before... It might be too foreign for you to comprehend."

She laughed and moved closer to Severus. "You surely don't know anything, do you, Severus? Well that's alright. I was in Azkaban in honor of fighting for the Dark Lord. And I am back, stronger and better than before. Watch me become higher than you in ranking. And you will have to bow down to every word I say as well as the Dark Lord," she smiled, not showing a hint of anger or irritation. Although she was feeling tense at the fact that she was a failure before. But she was given a second chance, and she will make sure that she will make this second life greater than before.
She moved back and looked at him. "How many years has it been that you have been gaining trust? I take it that you're slow in your process. The Dark Lord isn't happy with that, Severus. More than seven years now and you're gaining trust. And you call me a failure?" she asked, pouting her lips teasingly.
"Who said the truth will come from me? I am only a messenger, you know," she smiled. She wondered what he had to tend to before the meeting. It seemed sketchy that he had something else, but she let it slide. She already knew the truth. "Do whatever you can in order to get there," she said.

"I suppose you could look at it that way... if you insist on being moronic," he said, getting extremely tired of her constant need to one-up him. Of course, she failed miserably each time, but the sickening part was, she thought she was coming out ahead. "Indeed. And when that happens, I shall follow you as I follow Silverton. Never question my loyalties, Lestrange. I have proven time and time again that I am dedicated to our cause and loyal to the Dark Lord. I who have done more for him than anybody else with one exception... I wonder how small you'll look when Bartemius returns from his mission in Albania? He always did make you look bad."
He was about to walk away, but stopped. He really needed to quit being bated by her. "Many, many years," he said. "And you? How many years do you think it will take to make up for your completely inexcusable failure at the Ministry to obtain that prophecy? Many, many, many more?"
He sneered. "They say not to shoot the messenger. But in your case, I'd love to make an exception. At any rate, I will be at the meeting, Bellatrix. You may depend upon it."

"And I'll own up to it. Because this time, I'm going to do better than ever before. And the Dark Lord as well as everyone will forget about the whole mistake from before. Just watch, Severus," she said. "You might think that I shouldn't think this high of myself, but I've got a path that will take me to the top," she said, and looked down at him with her heavy-lidded eyes.
"Now if you excuse me, I have matters to attend to. Surely you have some of your own as well. I'll see you tonight," she said, and with that she walked away, pretending that he was no one that she knew and when it came to the right place, she quickly disapperated towards the Death Eater Headquarters.
