MINISTRY NPCs
=========
HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS
=========
Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic
Victor Steele
Play-by: Patrick Dempsey
Victor has a personal charm about him. Quiet and reserved, he still manages to light a room with a smile. He is a hard worker, diligent and meticulous. He is a strong supporter of the current Minister of Magic, Remus Lupin. Born in London, his dream is to help contribute to a corruption-free Ministry that can dedicate itself to ending the war that he'd grown up with. Victor is divorced with one child who he shares custody with. He is a former Hufflepuff.
--
Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation and Domestic Legislation
Adriana Mabunay
Play-by: Rachel McAdams
Adriana Mabunay, though relatively young to hold such a position, has always been extremely advanced for her age. She is, to date, the youngest person to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and is the youngest to graduate from the prestigious school with nothing less than distinction. She is your typical not-so-closeted genius, but is far from the awkward geek. Strong and independent, she has a way of getting the respect she deserves and is not at all a push over. She is currently unmarried but does not mind that at all as it gives her the freedom to go by her own schedule. She is a former Ravenclaw
--
Head of Public Relations at the Ministry
William Moore
Play-by: Morgan Freeman
William is a native of the United States but his family moved to Scotland when he was nine years old. Muggle-born, he like many had been surprised when the letter from Hogwarts arrived. Excelling in magic, he focused on journalism, serving as editor of the Daily Prophet for many years. Today, he works directly with the Minister as head of public relations, and it helps that he knows all the tricks that the media might throw at him. William is a former Ravenclaw.
--
Deputy Auror
Gabriel Hudson
Play-by: Eric Dane
Born in Dublin, Ireland, this extremely tall man stands at a daunting height of 6'6" and is built like a brick wall. A former professional Quidditch player (beater), he sustained an injury to his knee that took him out of the game for a year despite the magical treatments. By the time he healed, he felt like he was no longer relevant to the sport. Instead, he enlisted as an Order member and through there was offered the opportunity to attend the Auror Academy. He passed with flying colors and has served ever since. His promotion to Deputy Auror came the day after Sirius was named Head of the Department. Gabriel is a former Gryffindor.
--
Deputy Wizard Hit-Man
Jeremy Scudder
Play-by: Christopher Meloni
Jeremy Scudder is a child hood school mate of James Potter, having attended a few years behind him. They played Quidditch together with Scudder being one of the other chasers. After Hogwarts, he wasted no time getting into law enforcement as it had always been one of his dreams. He is highly against the war and as a half-blood is completely for the equality of magical muggles. Jeremy is a former Gryffindor.
--
Head of the Improper Use of Magic Office
Arthur Weasley (canon character)
Play-by: Mark Williams
Arthur may not be rich or famous, but he's certainly well respected at the Ministry despite working for a not-so-well respected department. He has turned down many promotions because, frankly, he loves his job and can't imagine himself anywhere else. Married with seven children, Arthur Weasley does not have much but truly feels blessed. He is a former Gryffindor.
--
Head of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes
Lara Collins
Play-by: Nicole Kidman
Lara Collins is your no-nonsense, I am woman, hear me roar type of person. She lives in her office - Or so her workers say. Hard working, she has so far had one of the most successful tenures in the history of the department. Though she's hardheaded and hard to please, she is not ashamed to tell her workers when she is proud of them or when they've done a good job. That said, she's also quite open about those times she thinks that they've done poorly. She is currently married but has no children. Lara is a former Hufflepuff.
--
Head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures
Alexis Belz
Play-by: Summer Glau
She's tougher than she looks... and she looks pretty damn tough. Alexis began her career as a dragon tamer, specializing in Chinese Fireballs and Hungarian Hornbacks. Some would call her fearless but never wreckless. Despite her pension for normally dangerous situations, she knows the ins and outs of the department better than any, so when the former head of the Department stepped down after losing yet another limb, she was the logical choice for his replacement. She is single and not looking. Alexis Belz is a former Gryffindor.
--
Daily Prophet Editor
Leah Mackersey
Catherine Zeta Jones
Ruthless, driven, hungry for the story, this cut-throat diva is about as high maintenance and hard to please as they come. This is probably why she's been married four times and it just hasn't seemed to work out for her. She stepped on a lot of people to get to where she is today and is not going to step down for anybody. Leah is a former Slytherin.
