Fun loving, easy going, and pretty amenable to doing most anything so long as it's going to get him some kicks or thrills, he's pretty much described as the life of the party. He has a big circle of friends, networks that extend all over Europe that he builds on with his travels, and is always open to knew people to join his crew. He doesn't take his personal life very seriously at all. Well, at least not most of it. He believes life is too short to get wrapped up in worrying over things you can't control.
When it comes to relationships, Lucien is very loyal. He doesn't date people often, and the decision to enter into a relationship is always one he takes his time with. He also is very dedicated to making relationships work which is why none of his relationships have lasted for less than a year. That said, Lucien is very slow to use that three-worded phrase that every woman seems to melt when the hear.
While he has a wild side to him, he takes his job seriously. He has worked long and hard to get to where he is and take pride in what he's accomplished. His dream is to one day become the Head of the Magical Accidents and Catastrophe's department, but he's content with where he's sitting now.
Lucien isn't normally one who is prone to fits of anger, but when his temper is roused, it's quite volcanic. It takes a lot for him to reach the point of no return - but once there, it can last for days. He also has a bad habit of holding grudges. He has trouble with forgiveness or moving past a wrong committed against him. Generally, if you offend Lucien, he cuts you off completely unless he feels that, in the end, the friendship is something he values enough to work through. For those who continue to poke at him, insisting on become his enemy, he tends to either cut them down bit by bit until they give up, or he'll physically put them off.
He abhors the pure blood fanatics. While he does come from a pure-blooded ancestry, he is very open to the idea of Muggles learning magic. However, just because he feels this way does not mean that his moral compass points perfectly North. He tends to get arrogant at times, about pretty much anything, and has a tendency to look down on people without realizing it.

Lucien Luc Laurent was born in Orléans, France. He spent the first six years of his life there, but was forced to move to London when his father took a job at the Ministry of Magic as one of the members of the International Federation of Wizards. His mother worked as a curse breaker for Gringotts and was often away from home, doing whatever it was that she did. For a time, Lucien and his brother, Bernard, had nannies and sitters that would watch over them, but when he turned eleven, he received the letter he'd been waiting for from Hogwarts.
He was sorted into Ravenclaw House and became quite the fanatic. School spirit was his way of life, and he bled blue and bronze. He joined the Quidditch team his fourth year as a Chaser and they even won the house cup his sixth year. Hogwarts was a fascinating time for him, and it was there that he learned that what he wanted to do with his life was to Work at the Ministry in the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes. He was hired on as an intern after his seventh year based soley on his NEWT scores.
He worked his butt off for the next ten years - Something harder to do in the later part of that as Death Eater attacks and traps became a commonplace occurrence. He saw more injuries in those individual years than in the previous ones combined. Perhaps that is what fueled his desire to join the Order of the Pheonix when Sirius Black revived it. It was there that he met his current girlfriend, Haylee.
A year ago, he received a promotion to senior member of the Magical Reversal Squad - He chose that over obliviating three years ago, but he excells in both as it's a requirement for becoming head of the department. He is second only to Lara Collins, the current head, and has seniority over the other members. When Collins is away, Laurent is in charge, so he's basically second-in-command.
