Tammy Lynn was scared. For the first time in a long while she felt insecure. For the millionth time in not such a long while, she felt alone. She stood with her back pressed against the wall of a dark street off the side of Knockturn Alley. She knew that what she was doing was dangerous and evil... after all... a meeting with Bellatrix Lestrange?
But ever since their last meeting, something had changed. There was something very appealing in having a family... a real family. Somewhere where she felt that she would belong. Oliver did not want her anymore, so much she had understood. She was a Slytherin and he had labelled her as one, nevermind the fact that she had been his friend for years.
Well, now she was going to take the first step. If he wanted her evil. She was going to be evil, really evil. She took a deep breath and stepped out of the shadows, raising her chin a little to show that she was not as scared as she felt. All she had to wait for now was Bellatrix Lestrange.

Bellatrix was on a busy time schedule. She had just recruited a Slytherin girl, seventh year by the name of Sessilia Catchersepante on a whim. Now it was time to recruit a little differently. This girl wasn't anything like any other girl at all. Sessilia enjoyed killing as though it was a hobby. And someone as callous in the group at a young age would be perfect. But she had to forget about the girl, because she didn't want to compare and contrast different people to her. It just wouldn't be right. But then again, who said she had to be?
"Tamara Lynn Davis," she said, coming out of nowhere from within the dark shadows of the alley. Bellatrix examined the girl and smirked. She could tell this girl was either scared or nervous. "Appointments are really not my thing, so I expect a little more out of you than nervousness," she said, looking down on the girl. "What is it that you want?" she asked, already knowing, but wanting to hear it come from the girls mouth.

Oh Merlin... there would be no going back now, would there? Tammy Lynn wondered if she should have told someone where she was going today but her parents were a no-go. Her mother wouldn't care anyway, too busy hanging onto that bottle of wine to give a cauldron cake about her whereabouts. But that was nothing new. It was Lance, her step-father, she couldn't give the satisfaction to. His glee would be too much for her to stand and most likely cause her to back pedal immediately.
She forced herself to keep her shakiness under control and thought back to her meeting with Oliver not too long ago. He did not care about her anymore, who did? If she joined this cause, she would be something again and she would be able to get friends and maybe even gain some respect. She wouldn't be just a slytherin anymore. "Lestrange," she said slowly. She triumphed at managing to regain control of her voice. She smiled ever so slightly. "I want to know what I can gain out of joining your... little group. I'm just interested in knowing, is all. Just making sure." Like she was going to admit defeat already. "I figured that you'd be the best to turn to, am I right?"

Bellatrix immediately seeped through the girls mind and read everything that she was thinking. She's weak..., she thought to herself and seeped back out. She could tell that this girl was weak from the moment she set eyes on her, but she would rather get to know her a little better. Just to see what she can get in return for having her join the Death Eaters. "My dear, the organization isn't little. It's large and every person takes part of this group one way or another. Before I give you my word, I want to know what you would do for us," she said, still looking down on his girl. "Before you speak, know this: Being a part of the Death Eaters requires your full attention. It's a job as well as an adventure," she added, and then waited for her answer on what she could do for them.
She began to think of Persephone, Snape and even Barty. With an inner sigh she gave the girl a smile. "And yes, I'm the best person to turn to," she quickly said.

Tammy Lynn smiled. It was fun to watch Bellatrix get all fussy about something as minuscule as that. She chose to lean back against the wall of the alley, not really worrying much about the soot that was quite clearly etched well into the wall. All types of filth and vermin walked around Knockturn Alley, one wouldn't expect the walls to be polished. "Fine, fine, whatever you say," she said quickly. She wanted this over with and fast. She was beginning to have second thoughts about the meeting at all... though she had the distinct feeling that breaking this up now would not go over well with Bellatrix. "Suppose that your whole organization thing is really a big adventure of some kind, that can't be everything there is to it? Because if it is, then I'm finding it frightfully dull."
She flashed a smile, feigning innocence. "But then, I heard the Order is doing well for themselves. I could always join them." No, she couldn't. Her step-father was a Death Eater, her family was pure-blooded and she was a Slytherin. Right. Her eyes flashed dangerously when Bellatrix asked her the inevitable; what she would do for them. "I'm afraid that you know nothing of me. When I give my word to something, I give it my everything," she said truthfully. "If I find a good, one good reason to join the Death Eaters then I will stay loyal to the cause or die trying."

Bellatrix stared down at Tamara with one eyebrow arched at her response on how dull the Death Eater Organization was. She smirked and leaned in closer to the Slytherin, "yes, and I'm finding you frightfully dull as well," she said with pure honesty. She wanted something good to come out of his girl; especially since her family was known to be a part of the Death Eaters. Maybe her father didn't teach her well.
Instantly, she gave a loud cackle at the thought that she would go to the order. "Sirius Black accepting you? With your background, I doubt you'd have any chance. So... Stop fooling around and give me an answer," she said, turning her laughter into something serious all of a sudden. Tamara had given her answer and Bellatrix stood back, thinking. "Anyone could kill themselves for the group," she looked at the girl once more and knew that this girl had just wanted to be someone instead of nothing. "If you weren't in the family of Lance Clemens, I would have rejected you off the spot. You're weak, but with practice and time you may be just as strong as you should be," she said, looking at her.
"But know this, you're accepted because of relations. If you mess up, you're done," she said, with a smile on her face. She always loved to give threats; especially to someone young. It would make them strengthen more. "Anything else?" she asked nonchalantly.

Tammy Lynn was having second thoughts about this and fast. "I believe you misunderstood me. I have no intention of killing myself, that would be highly unconvenient. I said that I would give a cause I believe in my utmost loyality." She took a precarious step backwards, her fingers touching the wall behind her. Her mind was racing. She had to think of something, because just saying that frankly, she wasn't interested anymore wasn't going to cut it for the Death Eater standing in front of her.
She was pretty sure that Bellatrix wouldn't kill her, at least, if the woman had any sense she wouldn't. Risking the respect of her step-father and perhaps the rest of her family, just because she refused to join - just would not be worth the effort. Even with all that in her mind, she realized that Bellatrix would have every right to be mad.
But she was indecisive by nature. She couldn't just commit to something like this now, not when her mind was scattered. "I should like to think about it," she said fairly. She started to move slowly to the left, as though thinking of making a break for it. "Maybe this isn't something I want after all."

Bellatrix had gotten completely annoyed at the fact that this girl was denying her way of being a Death Eater. Though her annoyance started to turn to answer when she thought of a different perspective of the matter. "Do you know what I do to people who waste my time?" she asked, going closer to the girl with intimidating eyes. "I kill them. But you're right, I won't kill you. But I could injure you as much as I would like," she said, seeping through her thoughts. Did she really think she could outrun Bellatrix?
"Now how can I understand if your loyal when you've already backed down," she added, her anger hidden once again beneath her insanity. She laughed and moved away from Tamara and looked towards the empty alleyway. "It's your in or your out. There's no time to think on it, surely you did already or you would have never asked me to be here," she said.
Bellatrix looked at the girl for mere seconds at a time until she realized that there was going to be no answer right this second. She had things to do and people to see that were interested. This girl, apparently wasn't. What a waste of time, she thought to herself while looking down at the girl as if she was puny and worthless. "Next time I see you, I want an answer." With that, Bellatrix disapparated.
