The dark corridors mirrored nothing but distance and coldness about it. The faint light of moonlight etched dark shadows on the floor and the statues' faces were blessed with a grotesque and scarier face.
The torch holders stood empty and cold. Not a sign of light nor life occupied the corridor. It seemed as if this very floor was meant to be left like this. Or maybe it's because students should be in bed sleeping. Not Tinsley Blanc. Oh, no, not her.
She stood at the very end of the corridor, just around the bend. The girls' bathroom, haunted by Moaning Myrtel was still a few feet away from where she stood. Tinsley stood as still as stone. Almost as still as the stone statues. Her slim body was wrapped up in her thick emerald robes and underneath it her night dress hung lowly, slightly above the ankles of blue bare feet. Her hair, toussled, sat on her shoulders in a mixture of waves and curls.
Her eyes stared off in to the distance. Big round eyes, glassy and wide.
