this is a story i started like a year ago, and am trying to put it back together again. i finally edited it so it looks a bit better.
I was at the park with my puppy, Bella, playing fetch, and when I threw the tennis ball, she laid down instead. I got up and started walking over to go get it and right when I was reaching down, another hand was going to pick up the ball too. We both looked up and the only thing I saw were his amazing baby blue eyes. He said something but I was lost in his eyes. “I’m sorry, I like dogs. You don’t mid do you? I’m Johnny, by the way.” He put out his hand and I automatically shook it. “And you are?” I fell back a little bit; he was absolutely gorgeous. “Oh, hi sorry. I’m Cheyenne.” He gave me back the tennis ball and he walked over to Bella and let her sniff his hand, and then he pet her. Even Bella was hypnotized by him. They were already getting along like they’ve known each other forever.
“What’s her name?” he asked me. It still was taking me a little while to process everything. He was looking at me waiting for an answer when finally I said “Her name’s Bella.” He smiled and went back to playing with her. I sat down next to them. I was petting her too, when his hand landed on mine. It stayed there for a second and we were staring at each other and he was leaning in like he was about to kiss me, but Bella got up from under us and he pulled back and got up to chase Bella around. I was still sitting there when my best friend, Lucy came over and sat next to me.
“Who’s that?” She was watching Johnny running around with Bella. I was watching him too. “His name is Johnny. He came over and started playing with Bella. The bluest eyes I’ve ever seen.” He also had black hair and he was kind of tall. He had his hair jelled up into a faux hawk. He had on baggy kind of faded jeans and a t-shirt. He had his hat in his back pocket. He had on Converse’s. He was dressed so casually but he still looked amazing. We sat there for a little while until Bella ran over and knocked down Lucy. Johnny came walking over to sit next to us. I calmed Bella down and she laid down on her back, and I rubbed her belly. Johnny and Lucy introduced themselves to each other. We sat and talked and ran around for an hour or two. It was starting to get dark and Lucy, Bella, and I needed to go home. Johnny was waiting for his friends because they had to go to a party.
“So, we should start heading home is getting dark,” I said. He was going to stay at the park until his friends got there to pick him up. We had to walk home; we didn’t live that far. Plus Lucy was practically my neighbor. “Yeah. Well this was fun. It was really nice meeting you guys.” I was smiling huge. I wanted to get closer to him. I figured I might not see him again. Lucy knew this, so she said, “I’m going to go ahead. Nice meeting you Johnny! See you at your house Shy!” So Johnny and me were left just standing in the parking lot. He had his hands in his pockets. “Well. This was great. Your amazing.” I had to be quick. I looked down at my shoes for a second. My new white DC’s. I looked back up at him. Every time I see him it’s like seeing him for the first time. “So are you. I really like you. I want to see you again.” He reached for my hands. His skin was so soft. He had a perfect tan too. “So do I.” He smiled slightly. “Where? When?“ I thought for a second. “How about here again? Thursday? 3:30?“ He smiled again, he beautiful teeth showing through, “Yeah sounds good.” I smiled back. “Should I bring Bella?” His smile got even bigger. Bella would be an icebreaker. “Sure. Cool. Well then I’ll see you Thursday.” Smiling, I turned to go home, when he pulled me back in and kissed me.

“YOU WHAT?! Whoa. Wow.” Lucy was still amazed at this. I know I would never hear the end of this. She thought he was hot too, but she wouldn’t do anything about it now. Even though we have pretty much the same taste in guys. She’s way to good a friend. “At 3:30? Is Bella going with you? Should I come? Is he a good kisser?” She’s been asking me these kinds of questions over and over again. She is a little bit more of a drama queen then me. She is much more into gossip, make-up, hair, and love stories than I am. I don’t care about gossip really. I don’t wear make-up and I don’t care for it. Hair isn’t as much as a priority to me. She thought that this guy would be my own love story.
“Yes Bella is coming. I don’t think you should come. I kind of want to be alone with him. Just to see. So not this time. Yes he’s a good kisser. Just watch the movie.” We are in love with old movies. We have watched about 100,000 movies over the past 14 years.
I moved to the house I’m still in now when I was two from Florida. Lucy came from California. We ended up living like two houses down from each other. We moved in about 2 months before Lucy and her family. When they moved in we went over to welcome them, and our parents became good friends. Lucy and I were inseparable when we were little. We still kind of are. We practically lived together but we switched houses every other time. She considers it fate, since she reads so many love stories. We’re kind of opposites though. She was much more popular than me to start with. I was known as “Lucy’s best friend“. The good thing was that Lucy never got sucked up by it. She did get carried away a few times, but she always found her way back. She was much prettier. She was gorgeous. I was normal. I had blonde hair; she had brown. I had blue eyes; she had dark, almost black eyes. She was Spanish/Italian and pretty much it. I was Swedish/German/Irish/much more. Although, she does sports. During middle school she took a break from sports. But when she got to high school she started it again. Lucy was amazing though. I always went to her games and most of her practices. I tried to be supportive. We both got about the same grades.
I was much more artsy than her, more creative. I was the sensitive, artistic, hard-working, painter, and writer.
Big, long history about our friendship. She’s an amazing friend and I would do anything for her. She’s practically the sister I never had. Although we don’t act like sister’s. We’ve never gotten in a fight yet.
“Are you sure you don’t want me to come?” Obviously she wanted to go. I rolled my eyes and chuckled, “Look, I don’t know. He didn’t say anything about you coming and neither did I. I want to be alone with him. See what happens, you know?” I didn’t like excluding her. We always tried not to do it. The exception was usually boys.
She really likes the guy in our band. Pete. He’s kind of a rebel without a cause. Lucy’s the singer, Pete’s guitar, a friend named Mike on drums, and another friend named Justin on bass. I was the band manager. We’ve been practicing since 8th grade. Now because of all the practices they were pretty good.
After the movie, “Breakfast at Tiffany’s“, our favorite, we drove out to the gas station. We went there late at night, and meet up with a few people. We stepped out of Lucy’s car and saw that Johnny was just leaving. I was in my dad’s old t-shirt and bright blue pajama pants. I looked down and closed my eyes. I felt like an idiot.
“Hey Cheyenne. What’s up?” Lucy excused herself and went inside, Pete most have been in there. I looked back up and smiled nervously, “Nothing. Just meeting up with some people. You?” He looked at the people inside and then back at me. “Nothing, just picking up a late night snack before heading home.” I knew this was going to be a little awkward. “Oh. Cool. So… do you want to…” Oh man. “Never mind. You probably have to get home now.” Oh man. He smiled comfortably, “No, I don’t have to right now. You want me to go in there with you?” I think I just had a little panic attack inside. “Uh. If you can, I mean…” And right then just all of a sudden he grabbed my hand and we walked inside.
“Hey guys, this is Johnny.” They were all just staring for a while. Jesse, Pete, Lucy, Mike, Justin, and Sara. Jesse was Pete’s brother. Pete was the guy that played the guitar in our band that Lucy liked. Mike is the one on drums. Justin is the bassist. Sarah is Justin’s girlfriend. Lucy of course was the first to say anything. “Oh hey Johnny. How are you?” He looked back at all of them, and then back at Lucy, “Pretty good. How are the rest of you guys?” They all looked at Lucy, then me, then Johnny. They all answered with a “good” or “not too shabby” or “okay” all at the same time.
Seeing as how he’s not shy, he was the first to start the conversation. It started out a little rocky, then the guys started to get used to him. After a little while though, he had to go back home.
“Well, your friends are pretty cool. They seem nice.” He said. ‘Oh yeah, sure nice, pfft.’ I thought. “Yeah, right. I’m sorry I brought you over there” I laughed but I still felt a little embarrassed. He looked at me with sympathy. He kind of laughed, though it was a reassuring laugh. “Oh, that was nothing you should meet my friends. They’re impossible.” We both laughed. That was good to hear, in a way. We stood their for a little while longer and finally he broke the silence and said, “Well I better get going. I should’ve been home a while ago.” I felt bad for making him be late. “Oh, well if you had to have been home why’d you stay?” He looked gorgeous, even though it was late and dark out. “Well, why wouldn’t I? That just would have been rude of me to all of a sudden see you and just leave without spending time with you or meeting your friends.” He was so nice and sincere. I can’t believe he liked me, or even kissed me. “Well that’s very nice of you to stay up past your bedtime just to see me.” I said smiling. “Oh, now how do you know my bedtime?” We laughed, he held my hands, and then he kissed me, again. ‘I think I’m in love!’ I thought. He pulled away, said good-bye, and drove on back home.
As soon as I walked back in the store I was bombarded, “Ooh. I saw that little intimate moment you had with him. Already, and you just met him? Girl, you’re just begging to give it away, huh?” We all laughed. “Yeah, right. Guys he’s nice, sweet, funny, and he sure as hell is hot. I don’t think he would be like that just to get in her pants… at least I hope not.” Lucy said, trying to defend me. Although it wasn’t so sensitive. But, if you were sensitive around those guys, they just plain wouldn’t understand. Me and Lucy talk to each other about everything, so it’s ok between us, but everyone, in a big group like that, yeah, good luck.

We practiced in an old warehouse that a family friend owned. We have been using the warehouse to practice in for about 2 months now. Our band had been kicked out of many different places, because of complaints about the noise. Too many garages to count. Quite a few old, vacant buildings. Every once in a while, when we had nowhere else to go, we went to one of the members’ house.
I brought The Binder. It had anything important needed for the band. Prints and originals of all the songs anyone in the band has written. Our status in money earned by gigs. Our status in money used for anything for the band. Our schedule for the next month. Drawing plans of different ways to set up our equipment on stage. Any ideas for CD covers or possible video or picture shoots. Anything that had been needed to be recorded down. I was a bit of a nerd when it came to The Binder.
All the other guys brought what they needed for the practices; drum sets, guitars, plugs, amps, microphones, stands. Pete and Justin were the back-up singers - if needed - so they brought microphones and stands with them too. If they ever needed a girl for a back-up singer I was the one left to do it. They had always sad I was a good singer, but I still got nervous.
I had always dreamed of the band hitting it big, but I knew it’ll be much harder. It was already hard as it was.
They all tried to perform like they would for a crowd. It usually helped if I was sitting there watching, even though they know I was watching much more intently then the actual crowd would. Sometimes just to get them going, whenever they wanted the audience to do something, I’d have to do it for them. It was actually pretty fun.
I could play a little bit of guitar, but I was not that good to play for the band. I played the piano, but mostly classic stuff. I used to play many other instruments like the flute, clarinet, trumpet, and a little bit of the saxophone. I did mostly classical stuff, because it helped me relax. Sometimes I’ll do a little bit of jazz, because that’s just fun. I do a few parts in some of our songs if it’s needed. We like to mix our music up as much as we can.
I like the rush of going up on stage just to play the trumpet or something like that. I just try not to look at the crowd cause, I’d just about have a heart-attack. It’s fun to do something somewhat crazy every once in a while.

I couldn’t wait to see Johnny again. It felt great thinking about him, but I was very impatient with these kinds of things.
Good thing the guys liked him or it could have been awful. He passed that test. Lucy obviously thought he was good for me. But she was not going to give up on Pete.
When the day finally came to meet up with him again, I was practically shaking. I hate when that happens. No matter how much you prepare yourself for something, your still not ready for whatever it may be when it comes the time to for it to happen.
It took forever to figure out what to wear. I had rummaged through everything in my closet, and finally realized I was hopeless without Lucy. This was a kind of thing for Lucy. I probably would’ve been mismatched and all mixed up without her help.
I ended up wearing worn-down, red, high-top converse, dark blue ripped jeans, and a gray, lacey tank top. I had my hair up in a high pony tail. Simple, but yet, enough.
Lucy stood back and looked at me with a smile of achievement. “You look great. You rock those jeans. You’re going to do great.” This was how Lucy mentally prepared me. “I hope so. I’m already nervous.” She hated when I got like this, but I couldn’t help it; he was so hot. “Well, of course your nervous. But just be yourself, and you’re going to do fine. Not just a cliché. Trust me.” I trusted her but I don’t know if I could trust myself to not be a complete and total idiot. “I hope so.” I said under my breath, but Lucy must have heard me because I saw her roll her eyes.

I put Bella’s leash on, got her tennis ball, and went outside. My heart was pounding from being so nervous, and the heat really wasn’t helping.
Every time I walked Bella, or more she walked me, she had to stop and smell every blade of grass. It took forever just go get to the other side of the street. Bella was always aware of everything. And of course that would be why she darted off towards the park, dragging me along with her. Johnny was standing in the outfield with a bone for Bella. He was wearing some dark blue, baggy, faded jeans, and a black shirt with white writing all over it, the same black converse as before, but this time he had his hat on backwards.
When Bella finally got over to Johnny, the first thing she did was stick her noise in his groin, ‘Lucky!’ I thought. “Hey Bella!’ Cheyenne unhooked her leash. Johnny got her attention with the bone and threw it. “Hey Cheyenne.” He was so sexy. He pulled me in and kissed me hard. I closed my eyes and wrapped my arms around him. I was kissing him back, just as hard, and right then, Bella came over and jumped on us.
We fell over on the grass with Bella jumping all around us. I quickly got the tennis ball I had brought, and threw it out into the field. Johnny smiled, and rolled over on top of me. He slowly shifted his weight and leaned into me. His body somehow fit right into mine. His lips were perfect against mine.
We could hear Bella’s tag bumping against her collar as she ran around. She seemed to realize that it was hot out, and she came over, lying down next to us. She nuzzled up near us trying to get our attention.
Johnny stopped kissing me and I groaned with my eyes still closed and my lips still pursed. When I opened my eyes he was smiling down at me. He rolled over on his back and pet Bella. I looked over at him, rubbing Bella’s belly, her tongue hanging out and her tail wagging. I rolled over too, my head and my hand on his chest. He kissed the top of my head lightly.
We lied there for a while whit no sound between us, except for Bella’s panting. It was a comfortable silence. I had almost fallen asleep on his broad chest happily, and he said lightly, “I missed you.” He put his arm around me, and kissed me on the head again.
I looked up at him and smiled slightly, “I missed you, too.”
okay i just fixed this up, tell me wut u think, thanx!
I was at the park with my puppy, Bella, playing fetch, and when I threw the tennis ball, she laid down instead.
